EU chemical output declines slightly amid global economic downturn

February chemical trends report confirms a slight fall in EU chemicals output in the second half of last year. Down by about 1% on 2017, production was affected by a slowdown in the global economy. Chemicals exports rose by €7.3 bn. through November 2018, while EU imports leapt 9.3% during the same period.
