Mid-Century study to shape vision of chemical industry’s future in Europe

In October 2017, the Cefic Board approved in Vienna the development of a European Chemical Industry Mid-Century Strategy, based on an interactive dialogue with multiple stakeholders.

The Mid-Century study is targeting the next generation of European Policy makers. There is a window of opportunity to influence political-makers in 2019 during the European elections and the appointment of the new European Commission.

The outcome of the study will be a 40-page document with vision and narrative of what the European chemical industry would look like in 30 years and every ten years from 2020 onwards. The study should be published by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2019.
