The annual European Ethylene Producers’ Committee (EEPC) conference took place this year in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 24 to 26 October 2018.  The event focused on the long-term vision for the global petrochemical and refining industry in Europe, and its impact on feedstock availability for ethylene crackers. There was a record attendance with 179 delegates including 57 members for associate EEPC members, plus 70 participants representing 26 sponsor companies.

G. Gale from Naphtha Information Services, gave a keynote speech on the future of worldwide olefins industry in the next ten years, whereas M. Yugo from Concawe presented the  2050 vision of the European refiners, focusing on the impact for availability of petrochemicals feedstock.

The theme of breakout sessions was training of young engineers with sessions.

Next year conference will take place in Athens from 23-25 October 2019.
